Our History
Pat Roberts – His story
KP Financial Planning celebrates 50 years in business at the end of 2021. Pat Roberts began Kalamunda Insurance in 1971 and established an office in Kalamunda in the early ’80s. Pat was known as ‘the man from the Prudential’ and initially focused on insurance before moving into financial planning.
Pat was actively involved in the wider Kalamunda community: he served twice as Rotary president and helped establish the markets in Kalamunda in the ’80s. Pat’s two sons joined him in the business — Greg in 1998 and Damien in 2007 — and they have 37 years’ combined experience in financial planning.
Pat died in 2016 and his sons Greg and Damien continue Pat’s legacy. Many current clients have a long-standing association with KPFP, beginning with Pat in the ’70s and ’80s. KP Financial Planning celebrates its 50th birthday this year — a milestone in business, and in life.
